Need Service Hours: Does your Middle School student need some Service Hours? We're looking for some students to go along with Jan Waldhart to St. Ben's to serve food to the poor and homeless. Jan picks up the students here at St. Gabriel School at 3:45 p.m. and returns to school around
7:15 p.m. Help is needed on March 11, 26 and April 24. Call Jan at 628-4158 for more info.

Aluminum Can Drive: Our next can drive will run from March 17-31. The collection bin will be on the west side of the playground.

Pick-n-Save "We Care" Program: We received a check last week in the amount of $576.68 from the "We Care" program. Thank you to everyone who participates in this wonderful program. If you would like to designate St. Gabriel School to receive a portion of your grocery receipts, just stop at the Customer Service Counter to fill out the simple form. St. Gabriel's identification number is 763160.

Basketball: Our 8th Grade Boys Team took 2nd Place in the St. Kilian's Tournament Sunday night with a score of 36 - 38. The boys played hard and came back in the 2nd half where they had been down by 16 points. It was an exciting game so . . . let's wish them luck for the Padre Serra Tournament this coming Sunday.

Padre Serra Basketball Tournament: If you are planning to go to the Padre Serra Tournament, please wear your spirit wear red and white. Feel free to bring posters to support your team! Go Hawks!!

If you are riding the bus, the bus will leave St. Gabriel School promptly at 11:30 a.m. and return at 4:00 p.m. Please have your permission slip signed and turned into the School Office by Friday, February 29. The estimated cost to enter the tournament is $3/student, $5/adult.

Congratulations: We'd like to congratulate Jonelle Ludin, a recent graduate of St. Gabriel School, with receiving High Honors at Hamilton High School. Jonelle is ranked 1st in her class. Way to go, Jonelle!!

Accreditation: On November 26, 2007, the Board of Directors of the Wisconsin Religious and Independent Schools Accreditation (WRISA) accredited St. Gabriel School. St. Gabriel School joins the ranks of approximately 255 independent and faith-based schools in the State of Wisconsin that have proven compliance with WRISA Standards and have been accepted as members in the association.

$crip: Be sure to plan ahead for your Easter shopping. We'll place an order on March 4, 10 and the 17th -- then the next order won't be placed until March 31. If you have any special order certificates, place those orders as soon as possible so you receive them before Easter. Even some in-stock certificates might not be available so -- plan ahead!

An Afternoon With Patrick Dean: All are invited to an hour long seminar on grief, mourning and healing presented by Patrick Dean, Founder and Director of the Wisconsin Grief Education Center. Please see the attached brochure for more information.
