From The Principal's Office:

Dear Parents:

I'm writing to you now with the hope that we are finished with snow storms bearing down on us. Let's all hope that March will go out like a lamb not a lion. The good news is that Spring is on the way and, hopefully, it will get here sooner rather than later. Ushering in the milder weather also brings us to the realization that our school year is well past the halfway mark. We need to remind our young people that the end is in sight but they can't afford to let up.

The month of March, although short, promises to be a busy one as you can see from the March calendar. Some highlights are the Forensics State Tournament, 8th Grade Retreat and the field trip to the Milwaukee Symphony and Milwaukee Art Museum.

We are busy planning enrollment for next year and I am happy to report that our 2nd Grade class is full. Our K4 program has 11 students registered and our K5 program has 10 already registered. We would like our numbers to be around 14 or 15. We are happy with the way our registration process is going. We also have seven new students registered in Grades 2-6.

Our Mass day wear is going very well. Thank you to all of you for helping us make the transition to a new policy. The students look wonderful and its obvious that Mass day is a special day.

Finally, it was reported to me that our 8th Grade Boys Basketball team was complimented by a principal from another school. She said that she has watched our boys both on and off the court and is so impressed with their poise, respect, sportsmanship . . . I love hearing comments like that because that is what we're all about here at St. Gabriel. Thanks to the boys for representing themselves, their families and their school in such a positive light.

Think Spring!!
